Municipality of Bourgas is situated in Eastern Bulgaria on the Black Sea seaside and has a territory of about 48 200 hectare. Bourgas is the fourth largest city in Bulgaria. The municipality includes the City of Bourgas and other 14 small villages.

The City of Bourgas consists of 8 housing regions with more than 226 000 inhabitants, an area of about 2800 hectare with a built housing area of 843 257 m2, 72 930 lodgings.

The town of Bourgas is the second provincial centre on the Bulgarian Black Sea coastline. It is situated on the westernmost point of the Bourgas bay on an peninsula, surrounded by three lakes – namely the Bourgasko, Atanassovsko and Mandrensko lakes. The fastest way to get there is by plane. The flight from Sofia takes only 40 minutes. The perfect combination from sun, sea and local colour makes the town the wharf for many tourist dreams. If you add the artistic spirit of the Bourgas people, you end up with incredible atmosphere for relaxation and a safe haven from the rats' race. Mineral springs are  strewed along the Bulgarian coastline, the healing properties of which are fully utilized.
